Low fat intake equals low energy. Correct amounts of unsaturated fats are a great source of natural, long-term energy. Lots of refined sugar adversely affects the pancreas, causing high blood sugar that requires large amounts of insulin in our blood. Too much insulin causes the body to turn sugar and carbohydrates into fat.
When we consume lots of sugar, it creates a huge amount of stress on our adrenals...the stress buffering system of the body.

When we eat the same foods too often, our intestines can become irritated. We become allergic to specific food components. As the intestines swell, less nutrients are absorbed. There are fewer building blocks to repair the body's tissues. A lack of energy becomes a daily event. At night, the blood sugar drops so low, the adrenals have to secrete a very powerful hormone called cortisol, just to keep the blood sugar in a safe range.
When the body secretes cortisol, the "Fight or Flight Hormone" at night, the body sleeps but gets no rest.
This is a classic situation for most people who wake up tired. Their bodies are not getting enough nutrients to heal at night. Once the blood sugar level starts to drop at 1 AM- 2 AM, they wake up and cannot get back to sleep.

When we eat too much protein this creates more problems.

Your body is over 70% water. Water cleanses and removes toxins from the cells, dissolves nutrients, lubricates all parts of body and is crucial for temperature regulation. The optimal water to drink is distilled or reverse osmosis. We do not need all the extra inorganic minerals in spring or well water. Drinking 1/2 of a lemon in warm water in morning helps the cells maintain a biochemical balance. it is wise to filter all shower & drinking water.
Drink 4 ounces every ½ hour religiously.
